
As he landed in Paris for his three-day trip to France, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed members of the Indian diaspora in France, had a brief meeting with US Vice President JD Vance, and gave host French President Emmanuel Macron a warm embrace before the working dinner at Paris’ Elysee Palace.
The Prime Minister will co-chair an AI Action Summit with French President Emmanuel Macron and engage in bilateral discussions with him during his three-day visit, which began Monday.
In a post on X, Modi attached photos of his arrival and said, “Looking forward to the various programs here, which will focus on futuristic sectors like AI, tech, and innovation.”
When he arrived at his hotel, the Indian community welcomed him with open arms. As the PM met the crowd, some diaspora members, dressed in traditional garb, played dhols and yelled, “Modi, Modi!” in celebration of his party’s win in the most recent elections.

On Tuesday, French President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will co-chair the AI Action Summit, where world leaders and leading tech executives will discuss how to promote inclusive and reliable AI innovation.
In order to ensure security and inclusion in the quickly changing digital world, PM Modi said ahead of the summit that the gathering will center on collaborative AI developments for public good.
In addition to the summit, Modi and Macron will have high-level talks in delegation-level and limited formats to evaluate the 2047 Horizon Roadmap, a long-term plan for strengthening bilateral ties, and the success of the India-France CEO’s Forum.
In remembrance of the Indian troops who served in World War I, the two presidents will visit the Mazargues War Cemetery in Marseille on Wednesday. They will also open the new Consulate General of India in Marseille, thus expanding their diplomatic reach.
PM Modi and President Macron will go to Cadarache, the location of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), a worldwide project in which India is a major player, to further solidify their scientific partnership.
