According to US President Donald Trump, if all Israeli prisoners are not freed by Saturday, the ceasefire agreement in Gaza should be cancelled.
His remarks followed Hamas’ decision to postpone the next release of prisoners detained in Gaza indefinitely, claiming that Israel was breaking the ceasefire agreement by killing Palestinians and impeding the delivery of assistance.
While the Israeli military claims it has cancelled its troops’ leave and is bolstering its deployments surrounding the Gaza Strip, the actions cause demonstrations in Tel Aviv.
The suffering of displaced Palestinians in Gaza, who are taking refuge in temporary tents after the majority of their houses were demolished or severely damaged, is being made worse by the severe weather.
Israel’s Health Ministry reports that 48,219 persons have been verified dead and 111,665 injured in its attack on Gaza. According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, thousands of individuals who went missing beneath the debris are now thought to be dead, bringing the death toll up to at least 61,709 persons. During the October 7, 2023 assaults in Israel, at least 1,139 individuals were murdered and almost 200 were captured.
